We all have things we can not stand that our "confiscated" money is used to pay for. I think there are many reasons people are against illegal workers and I do not think most of them are racists.

Enforcement is a problem, government employees!

It still makes financial sense for a company to hire illegals if the fine is less than the savings they get from hiring illegals. If the fine is large enough a company will not risk getting caught.

If you want to stop the activity go after the party that has something to lose. An illegal worker is not here because they have a lot to lose. A company on the other hand is going to maximize profits, using illegals or not, which ever route is cheapest.

Is this "gun-toting anti-gun hypocrits" a common thing? My thought is the vast majority of anti-gun people do not own guns, and just fail to see the point of owning them. I think the anit-gun people would "feel better" if at any point, any nut job who got the urge would not be able to walk into a school or workplace and shoot up the place.
