-----------------
I've been listening to the language debates since 2003 when I suddenly found it impossible to find work anymore because FoxPro was no longer relevant in the corporate world and I've thought about it a long time considering the different languages out there and the comments I get from the headhunters who don't have a clue what languages are to start with.

Well I added a section to my web site at http://www.bierchwalesolutions.com regarding languages and people that have theoretical training versus ones that have learned the hard way what works and what doesn’t.

Whether you agree with it or not, don't hesitate to send it to your recruiters as we need to start educating them as to how results are achieved in the real world and please forward it to your CIO as he/she are tasked with planning the big picture years ahead of today.

I also want to give you a theory how a lot of our work has gone overseas. Before I do that though, I want to state that I don't have a problem with our work being given to the best as long as we're comparing apples to apples. In other words, if the average salary here is 65K, then as a comparison the overseas salaries need to be weighted so that they are equal as this is the only way we can really see if we're getting the best deal.

Now on to my theory.
Does it seem that the majority of head hunters you speak to these days are of foreign descent ?
Does it not seem probable that when they first hear of a job needing to be filled that they say, I know somebody that can do it cheaper, however they are overseas and being the bargain hunters that we Americans are, we say of course I want to save money and so you see, I think we did this to ourselves.

Thanks,
