>>OTOH, I've seen people on the .NET side claiming knowing SQL server making statments about SQL that really makes you wonder they know what SQL server is about. What its strong and weak points are. How you effectively should use SQL server. The average .NET developer does not know squat about how the SQL engine works under the hood. How SQL statements are optimized and how its using resources. How and on what level concurrency is handled. To be honest the level of expertise of SQL up here is rather limited AFAICS.

>Funny, but at least Craig had the gumption to put his thought on paper and publish them. Kevin Goff has written and published numerous artices and 1 book and you you still bash their efforts. He has been voted SQL Server person of the year here, but yet he doesn't know anything. How come your name is not up there?

Maybe because I don't have the time as I have to build software systems ?? Also, I'm not a naive english speaker and putting together a book would be a major effort and don't even talk about publishing it.

>If you're such an expert on all topics, why don't you write a couple of killer book on software development (here's some suggestions): The Authorities Guide to SQL Server Development: What the Pros don't even know; the Disadvantages of using ADO.net in a modern software project; the glories of the VFP local data engine; or, the case for record set processing in modern software development.

All great ideas, just a pitty that it would be ignored by the .NET crowed. They just want to know it...
