>>Does anyone have any suggestions for good all-purpose books on VB? i've been given a project that requires vf instead of vfp.

>There are some excellent books out there. I have a book store down the road which has no less than 20 different books on VB. The one I liked (but have not bought yet) deals with developing Database Apps using VB. There were others there that discussed Web & Client Server stuff also. Let me know if U really need specific titles. I usally stop by the book store onnce a month. Also, I am taking the MS Advanced VB Programming class this week. It is a 5 Day class that is very intense and overs development of an APP using all of the VB Tools and the Jet engine. It is day 3 and I am very happy. It is easy and very similar to VFP. Actually, VB has fewer methods and properties. I still prefer VFP. Also, the Microsoft Press has some really good products out. These Should be listed on the MS site. The CD Mastering VB 4.0 is also out. I bought the Master VFP CD and I was very happy with its' content. Well, got to run, I am late for VB Class! htwh... Steve
thanks -- i don't need specific titles. i've seen these books and didn't have time to read them to see how good they really are...
