Yes but only the source that they paid for by contracting me to do the work. Most time, I just email them to the IT guy when he ask for it. I do keep ownership of my framework and functions and I can't sell the program to a third party.

If it's your own application, I would not give it to them so I think your way is a good one. I guest that you already have a clause that they can't sell it to anyone. You could send it with a password that only the third person knows.
