Reply to ads. Look at monster.com, computerjobs.com, dice.com, UT ads, VFUG ads (at http://vfug.org/). Once you get a job, it's employer's part to get you a H1B.

Though, too late for this year. The quota for 2007 was filled up last week. You may be better off working from home, for starters. It's also a way to get connected.
