This employer struggles to find VFP developers. The employer therefore says that VFP is not a requirement, because in their experience a "strong experienced" programmer in another tool can be up to speed quickly with the employer's VFP app.
Unless there is extra material you left out, I think the employer would be surprised to learn that they're actually saying that VFP people have found it easy to move to other tools, or that they disagree with people in the UT. I won't say I disagree with you here, but I'd be surprised if the job ad was written by anyone above the mentality of your
average headhunter or HR type. I seldom place much weight in a job ad if I sense it was written by anyone other than an I.T. type.
