I understand you because it broke my 2 freeware. I was using some win32 function and the result is different between XP and Vista. But, I think even VB.NET and others would had this troubles. ;)

I even posted:

The UAC prompts got on my nerves that I disabled it. It's a real pain when testing. Also, because it's on a HTPC connected to the VGA of my RPT-LCD, I would loose the video signal a few seconds each time.

How many normal users will find a way to disable it?

I just wanted to create a simple share in the Program Files folder but could not. For now, I copy my update(exe) in the public folder and copy it in the application folder after. I will try later but,for now, it work.

At least, it's ghosted :D
