I've been a witness of that. A VB programmer that took a job as a VFP programmer. He did what he had to do as a consultant by reading a book when he got stuck. Hmm quite a professional ;-)

10 print "This is a freakin easy language to learn"
20 go to 10
So I guess that many of those "top notch" developers made the move to VB.
Come on. It's not the development language that makes a bad programmer. Either you have programming skills or you don't. After that it's up to that unskilled developer to make messes all around.
