I laughed at some of the things you said. IT managers, etc. It brought back memories! :)

VB.NET is a useful tool, as is C#. I began using VB.NET and it was OK. Then our department standardized using C#. I like C# more.

I do not mind using any software development tool. Some are more fun then others. But getting back to IT managers, I have met very few who had the ability to sit on their own hands, and had any human qualities! :)

>The reason why I refuse to learn VB.NET is that every VBer I have ever met was a putz.
>
>Many of these guys were somewhere between hobbyists and half-baked programmers who later became IT managers which could explain why every IT manager I ever met is a putz as well. This could also explain IT resistance to VFP.
>
>Some time ago, there were a few VBers on the UT creating havoc bad mouthing VFP and trying to get us all to start using VB6. These guys were putzs.
>
>A few years ago, Steve Ballmer claimed that there were over two million VBers world wide. We all know Steve is a putz.

>However, if you want to know who the REAL putz is, look here:

>This explains a lot about Microsoft's position on VFP. VB is Bill's baby. Any programming language which canabilizes it has got to go.
