rofl, fair enough. It basically boiled down to a choice of the syntax for me. Even with the "hieroglyphics" =P c# seemed to be a bit more straight forward and compact. At the time when I started to learn .Net (2003 maybe?) there didn't seem to be a lot of substantial difference between vb.net or c#.net, just which syntax you preferred. Besides, vb.net had a few quirks that I didn't particularly like, such as option explicit, true evaluating to -1, and a couple of other minor things. It was just a personal preference.

Now that the languages have matured a bit and they features are seeming to follow different paths I am planning to give vb.net a shot. It is seeming to be more and more the "heir apparent" to VFP when it comes to data handling. Besides, the biggest learning curve between any of the .net languages is just the friggin' huge framework. Maybe once I get a bit more comfortable with vb.net I'll convert.

Honestly though, from what I have seen thus far it is still just a matter of preferance. I haven't seen a smoking gun for vb over c# or vice versa. Or maybe I am missing something? It wouldn't be the first time, lol. Straighten me out if I am, please! Have you guys seen any real advantages or disadvantages I have missed?
