I am using the print dialog when printing VFP reports (report form... to printer PROMPT). I find it very easy to use (basic functionality included without additional programming, like page range, and printer selection), but now I have a problem.
Accounting asks me to print only one "original" of a certain report; additional copies must be marked as "copy". Now, when using the printer dialog, if the user cancels, the record is still marked as "copy". Is there a way to figure out whether the user has pressed "Cancel"?
I know that there are additional problems; for instance, the printer may have been off, and the user deletes the print job from the queue. How are these situations commonly handled? Should I just ask the user whether printing was successful?
TIA,
Hilmar.
