I'm not an Imus fan....but for crying out loud, Al Sharpton has dropped the 'N' bomb several times in public, and Jesse Jackson referred to NYC as H****-town. Did Sharpton call for Jackson's head at the time?

A 2 week suspension is appropriate and sufficient. I don't think Imus is a racist, I just think he's obnoxious in general.

While I feel for the Rutgers players, this concept of a "meeting" to get something "accomplished" is a little silly. If they actually believe his comments "detract from their accomplishments", they're giving Imus too much credit to begin with.
