John,

PMFJI. If you did not try .NET yet then the problem was, you listened to them without checking if their complaints of being unsatisfied are worth your attention or not. IMO, those who tried using .NET but soon stopped means they did not exerted extra effort to accomplish what they want and expect. I for one gave up using the first VS version but sooner gone back when VS2003 was released because I couldn't see light on the future of VFP. It took me several attempts before I began to appreciate what .NET can do but in a different ways.
