>If you review my replies, it's as clear as crystal that I was not referring to the earlier versions of .NET as far as the analogy of 'diving in' is concerned. Assuming that you already did use VS2005, and you still have the same assessments, then forget about what I have said. The thing is, you are not telling me that you already used VS2005 significantly.
>
>What is crystal clear from your replies is that you initially assumed I had not reviewed NET, allowing you to post a patronizing sermon.

It's just a technical opinion of mine. Don't take it personal.

>Then you assumed I had not reviewed VS2005, allowing you to feel sad for me for being a silly boy jumping in too soon.

Pardon the tone of my replies if it it sounds like personal but it's totally not. Maybe because I am an Asian therefore the way I state an argument isn't the same as the way you want it to be.

>When I raised the issue of LINQ, your "technical" response seemed to be that you haven't bothered to look yet because you don't think it will be important.

Because that's the whole truth. LINQ is not yet in my radar. I can't compare VS2005+MM.NET which we currently have with the LINQ which is not yet released.

>At no time did I cast aspersions on your ability or advise you to brush up your ideas. That personal stuff was entirely from your direction.

>Then you tell me I am not God when I tell you that "pride comes before a fall." Well, I hate to disagree but it wasn't God who said that, it was Daniel.

Yes it wasn't God who said that. But your latest statements for me speak that you know better than God what I have in mind.

>And finally you claim that I am the one being personal.
>
>Jess, the whole thrust of your messages to me has been personal from the start. Just take a look in the mirror, OK?

What? John, point me to the messages that has been so personal to you and I will ask you to pardon me. But I am 100% sure that all my messages to you are purely technical opinions only that I was disagreeing with you. To disagree with you doesn't mean I was being personal.
