In this case the solution is very simple-to make new envelope ( not red one)and new name to VFP. Let say new name - 6 angulars Saturn mistery south pole.
ot Titan methan lakes or DB land cruiser for NET. Lots of new things can be done in VFP ( unicode
for many languages support,64 bits, object menu and many more)
I am pretty surprised, how people can see VFP like NET enemy or competitor
or reason not working with net products. These persons propably never wrote just one line of the code. I leaned NET,I use it, but not have real customers, where NET gives me fast and simple solution.
If we had more reach clients more time etc, we would use NET , no conflict
no contradiction.
If VB.NET will have VFP db flexibility ( big number of ways working with data) we already lost VFP-it is not mother or father for us, it is just old but reliable car waising low gas and avoiding jams. We are not lazy to learn new, we just very pressed by life reality. If you get ask on the project for 500$, most of us do not argue, but do this project in the fast and chiepest way) If we get customer, who gives us one year and enought money for project, we can use for him for his money some mordern things ( he said NET, we say ok). We also suffering from advertisment presure.
Job bosses ( who read advertisment often think about us like already dead persons- VFP- o- so old, not morden etc)
Anyway, assigning petition would not make big trouble.
