>Walter, since most of the suscribers to the UT are from North America innovation should not be the main reason not to sign the MoreFoxPro letter. I think that a powerful reason is because MoreFoxPro was not created in North America, and they undervalue this innitiative because of that. Should a North American VFP User Group started this, the success among them would be much bigger.

Probably true.

But to be precise, what can be expected from the U.S.? Currently, there are 100+. Is that a much lesser percentage than the Dutch section shows?

I remember a Dutch meeting two years ago attended by some 200 developers. Ken Levy and YAG were there also. Of those 200 persons 17 have signed up so far. I assume that the other 180 (approx.) are not pro the decision, but rather not aware of the action. (It might be interesting to have an alternative petition in favor of MSs decision and compare the numbers.)

Our country has 17 million inhabitants. The U.S. maybe 15 times that number. Multiplying 17 with 15 is 255. If VFP is equally spread in the U.S. and The Netherlands, then we could expect 200-300 U.S. signers. Does that imply that 100+ is a bad number? Not really, as I perceive it. A good number? Neither that.

How about your country? And others'?
Groet,
Peter de Valença
