I am creating a new database container based on an existing .dbc, but to save 'reinventing the wheel' I have copied the MyOldDBC.dbc/dcx/dct files to MyNewDBC.*, deleted unwanted views and created new views as required.

My problem is that I would like to use many existing remote views, but change the connection name to point to a different back-end database, but the connection name appears to be readonly. Is there any way to change this, using DBSETPROP() perhaps?

I have looked at the .dbc in browse mode, but I cannot see anything I can change - it looks as if the connection information has been compiled into the Property memo field.

Any help would be appreciated.

Alan
