The main factor why I choose the masculine look C#.Net over gayish VB.Net is that the first have so many language cousins C++, Java, BorlandC++, etc. while the latter don't have even one. At first, those curly brackets in C# annoyed me but I find it very powerful in figuring out block of codes.
