I need to create an updateable view which contains all the data from all the tables although on 2 tables I will be taking only the sum(ncredit), sum(ndebit) to prevent too many entries. Then, there's a certain unique linking field to create a link with the parent table if necessary, which will be used to create a sub-query if necessary, to display more detailed data from the individual table. The final view should look as if all the tables were merged into one neat view.

Steve,
'Updatable' and 'multitable' view doesn't sound good together at all.
