Hi. Sorry I am so late answering this. See my other post today. I just found out what that mail box symbol is for.

Remote control is exactly what it sounds like. You control a computer remotely. In other words, there is a computer on the local network that is running the application just like any other workstation. In fact, it can be used just like any other workstation. So, the way the program runs really has nothing to do with Foxpro or any other application. The "host" side of Close-Up allows keystrokes from a remote computer to work exactly like the local keyboard. All the images on the local computer are transmitted to the remote computer. What you have is two displays and two keyboards with one instance of an application running. This is great for training new users.

Your question about views: There are no issues regarding views because no data actually gets transferred to the remote computer.

>>Not one person mentioned remote control. I have many customers who use my obsolete FPD26 app with large tables (80 thosand patient records, 1.8 million transactions, etc) over 56K lease lines (not that expensive anymore) and the performance is acceptable. Look at Close-Up and others. The remote site can use that old 386 or 486 that you were going to throw away.
