Don't worry; at least it was worth trying. This thread is from 2003 and - I assume - from the CA of VFP 8. Now we have VFP 9 since some time and - as naive as I am - I am assuming that someone might have done some work with SQL 2005 backend and using VFP9's CA, which by the way seems to be a powerful tool, but I am only slowly beginning to comprehend it.
I found in my present project, that using CAs to retrieve data is done in a snap (one record, several records, with or without computed fields etc) and also using CAs to store data to an MS SQL backend in conjunction with the famous Begin Transaction - End Transaction cycle works fine. Therefore I have the hope that someone might have done some work on this topic as well in the last two years using VFP 9 and its CAs, who has the knowledge which I need.
