Hi Lennert:

There are several people trying the compiler. Some through the shipped copy with .NET Extender. Some others with the Online compiler.

We have been busy incorporating new functions for the runtime. Now we have several of the related to file handling as FCREATE, FOPEN, FWRITE and more. We are just testing them before uploading the new VFP.Runtime.dll

Also we implemented the functionality for arguments by references: FunctionA(@param1, param2). This is very important because this is a prerequisite for all the special functions in VFP that takes an Array and then modifies it WITHOUT passing it by reference.

Example:

= ALINES(aSomeArray,cSometext) && now implemented ALINES
= AFIELDS(aSomeArray)
And all the other functions that work in array arguments.

And several commands like Gather and more.

With this functionality in place we can implement more functions that previously we could not.

It is a nice idea to have weekly updates. We now have a wiki and we'll be automating the status of the runtime to better reflect the current status instead of waiting for a manual update as actually.

>Between all 'why i refuse what-if messages to the community' :-) I'd like an update on how the compiler evolves. On the website I don't see much which could inform us on how the project evolves.
