He said he won't be surprised if there are civil suits still to come, although he wasn't sure who could be sued. You sure won't get much money from the accuser, he said, and you will have a tough time going after Nifong because it is very difficult to get a verdict of prosecutorial miscondust. He said that's because you don't want everyone found not guilty suing the prosecutor.

Normally, I'd agree, you don't want every wrongly-accused person turning around and suing....but in this instance, I think the 3 lacrosse players (and their families) are owed restitution and compensation from Nifong. Nifong's actions are so egregious that an example must be made. These families had their lives ripped apart for a year, they may NEVER be the same, and they had to spend millions in legal feels. And Nifong should be held accountable.
