I've uploaded an example which I've described on my newest blog post (www.TheBakersDozen.net)

It's just one example, but it demonstrates how to read a raw file of invoices and put them into a typed dataset that represents an analytical view for a report. It's a training example based on a pretty common business situation, though in looking at it again tonight I realized there's at least one other way to do it, so I'm going to update it again over the weekend. But regardless, the example demonstrates some of the things you can use ADO.NET for.
