I can come across as being abrasive sometimes, and I didn't mean to be in this case.
It was the second part of your opinion that got me ("It wouldn't surprise me terribly if there weren't drugs, either."). I was fine with your first opinion.
It's like saying "I wouldn't be surprise if most of they kids are bums with low 1.0 GPA, and It wouldn't surprise me terribly if they were all rhodes scholars, either". Not much of an opinion, imo.
