Hi Evan (Evan is true isn't it ?),
It would be a long story how I started VFP and thought just like you. FP and VFP are not the same things anymore. You can think of VFP as a new beast supporting old FP. In FP versions we were only learning new added commands, enhancements to commands etc. but FP to VFP we all learned a "new" language. Now I think what will I do if a customer really needs and wants an app in FP 2.x (ie: 286's in system and DOS or unix only), I think I would refuse or request double the price to make him refuse. Keep on going, as you learn you will be glad to see how less clicks and code you need (and a better app).
And UT members will always be with you on the way).
