I was pleasantly suprised by that link that obviously you've written some time ago. I agree with much of what you said there and gives me the impression that you're belonging to the ones who understand the importance of data ON A LAYERS of an application.
The ones that do not know better or accepts the back-end only part of development, well they have no problems in langugates like VB and C#, Java, etc. But You're right the future will be data on all layers, whether or not it is a VFP like language.
