Ditto!

Thanks...I'd say that Sharpton's sense of personal entitlement must be massive - way beyond my ability to comprehend.

I thought about this last night....the history in the last 20 or so years of public figures getting fired over single statements:

Howard Cosell ("Look at that little monkey run")....although the Redskins player (I forget if it was Art Monk or Alvin Garrett) said he didn't even think it was racist.

Al Campanis, on Nightline in 1987 (now, granted, that was REALLY REALLY DUMB)

Jimmy "The Greek" Snyder....whom everyone knew was NOT racist, and made a stupid statement while really drunk

Rush Limbaugh on ESPN (I didn't think that what he said was THAT bad...but I never felt he should have been hired, as his football analysis skills were terrible, he had no business being on ESPN to begin with)

And now Don Imus...

I'm not defending any statements made by these people, they were wrong (or in Limbaugh's case, was trying to make a point and did so in a really bad way). But you can find an equal # of anti-semitic remarks from Sharpton and the "Reverend".
