David Chase is playing with us.
That was the most death-obsessed Sopranos episode I can remember, not that mortality has ever been far from the surface. The subtext was all about death. I think it's a feint. He wants us to think it's going to be all gloom from here through the end of the series. I don't think so. The stage is set.
"The Sopranos" has always included death as subtext but this was the most death-drenched episode I can remember.
>Season 6, part 2, episode 2, 8 more episodes, 4 minutes to go. All I know yet is that the episode is titled "Stage 5." I can't wait.

>Kevin G, by tradition you have the honor of being the first to reply and announce that it sucked ;-)

>Right now, I'm watching the Minnesota/Anaheim playoff game with my brother-in-law, so thanks, but someone else can take the first shot. I'll watch the replay of it later tonight. (hmmmmm...wonder what they'll plan tonight? Maybe A.J. decided to avenge his father getting his butt kicked, by tracking down Bobby B., only to have Bobby B and Janice sit on him).
