Ok wiseguy!< G > Try doing this inside the editbox (where you set the height, width, etc. properties of word to match the edit control and see if it doesn't get weird. What I had hoped for was a class that could be used for this and have it all contained in the edit control. I took the sample code from VFP and made the modifications, but it did get weird.

I guess the difference is with the sample there wouldn't be a problem of changing focus to another form that might be behind the VFP form. I took your code and added a caption to the instance of Word and an api call to bring it to the top and it's working great. So, I guess I'll live with that unless you care to tackle the sample I've got that "almost" works.
