Is this really news? We had similar intelligence before 9/11 that Al Qaeda was planning something big. The only things we didn't know were who, what, when, where, and how. Minor details like that.

Of all the things I blame the Bush administration for, failure to prevent 9/11 is not one of them. We can look back with 20-20 hindsight and say this or that should have been investigated more, but I don't think that's fair. We have to keep in mind that so-called intel pours in every day as though blasted from a fire hose. Let's just give credit where credit is due: those b******s planned and executed a brilliant attack. Maybe if we had gotten some lucky breaks we would have been onto them and been able to prevent it. But IMO that's exactly what it would have been, lucky breaks.
