>>That is the first time I have heard that (from a reliable source since the whole hulabaloo of guesses and rumours in the media). That definitely falls under the category of TREASON and should bring either the death penalty or life behind bars to whomever disclosed the information. Now they just have to find and prove who is responsible...

>I thought Richard Armitage had already admitted he did it.

Armitage came forward and admitted to the Justice Dept that he thought he leaked it to Novak. His role was investigated. And he may have testified to the grand jury as well. I dont know why people think that others cannot leak as well. The testimony at trial showed that Libby was leaking, so there were multiple leakers. To me, at first glance, it lends more credence to a conspiracy to leak that info (as 'nepotism' pushback against Wilson, which by the way was an inaccurate statement that Cheney wrote on the op-ed piece... that Wilson was sent by his wife... he wasnt), but apparently the justice dept after talking w/ Armitage didnt think that Armitage new that Plame was covert when he did the leaking, or that his leak was related to Libby's actions. However, i dont believe Armitage's GC testimony (if any) has or will be released. Apparently, as far as Libby and Armitage go, there's just a couple of indiscriminate, unrelated leakers in the admin. The trial showed that 9 people had a total of 10 conversations with Libby where Libby discussed Wilson's wife, contrary to Libby's own grand jury testimony.
