>>What about Turkey is different? You mentioned that somebody that bought a gun must have a reasonable intent of using it, such as self-protection, etc. How do they prove that?

>I can't claim our laws so much good. But at least you should show threat evidences to judge. It makes harder buy a gun. Of course you can find liar witnesses for prove a threat. But it makes buy a gun harder.

>And taxes. Our government gets heavy taxes for gun. It's another dissuasive reason. You can only buy one pistol or one ungrooved non-automatic hunter rifle.

>I see at american movies it like an american country symbol. A rifle on back window of a pickup. You cannot put your gun on a seeable place in there. I think so it makes guns for children eyes an usual accessory.

>BTW I read yet, he used a pistol. How can he killed 33 people with a pistol I can't understand. It had occured about hours. Where was the university security? It's un-understable...
according to the article I read about the shooting, he was carrying a 9mm Glock, so, as long as he are extra clips with bullets, it is easy to kill 33 with a pistol.
And on the Movie reference, that is just a movie, it is not true America. Unless it is hunting season with rifle, most people in rural American do not carry rifle in back window of pickup. We have hunting seasons with bows also. **Update - I will have to check my state laws, because I am not a hunter. Guns scare me too much from Military - afraid I might shoot someone.
