It doesn't really matter what happened in the dozens of messages prior to the one I responded to. The information provided in that message was incorrect and I pointed that out.

As for Linq over SQL... I havent really played with LINQ all that much at this point. I spent some time over a year ago with it probably 2-3 hours total but that was pretty much it. I wouldn't even dare to comment on the usefullness of the technology.

>Funny how does your reply to my message have anything to do with what I said????

>Press "back" a few times from your message and you'll find how the sub-thread started- with my message talking about LinQ for SQL:

>>>I've just spent a few hours reviewing various issues hoping to tell you why VS2005 typed datasets are rendered obsolete by Linq to SQL entities ;-) but it seems that entities don't have change-tracking. Wow. First round to the typed dataset.

>Where did I ever talk about LINQ???
>
>Well you aren't the only one here, and it is a thread. And you were responding to a question addressed to me. ;-)
>
>I was merely pointing out that the dataset object (This is the untyped version as well) has the ability to return the delta's of what has changed.
>
>Yes, and I was merely trying to amplify that it is a LinQ for SQL Entity in which I had reported a lack, not all of NET.
>
>PLease let me know how this is simpler to do in fox where you have no type of built in object that you can pass between tiers. In VFP you will be forced to roll your own correct ? Or is there some magical object that I am unaware of ?
>
>You really should read the messages before you scold. It started with a reference elsewhere saying that Typed Datasets were rendered obsolete by new LinQ technology. I decided to check it out. I clearly stated I was talking from a NET perspective assessing the cool new features of LinQ compared to existing NET. I stated *twice* that the same change tracking issue is true for VFP once you cross a tier boundary. It's not a "NET vs VFP" issue.
>
>Heve you looked at the LinQ for SQL in the latest CTP? If I'm wrong, for heaven's sake correct me.
