I don't have a specific answer - I usually don't have my reports in Crystal doing any SQL connections.

Is there any way you can use the "push model" (pushing datasets/XML data into the report) instead of the "pull model" (using Crystal to pull data from SQL)? I've generally found that pushing result sets into Crystal is more efficient.
