Oh, that part doesn't go on for long. I realize that's easy for a dad to say but I did my share of night duty and lost plenty of sleep. Nothing like my wife did during the first couple of months, which she described as becoming a zombie in endless three hour cycles, but plenty enough. Between the end of breast feeding and when the girls started sleeping more or less through the night (meaning six or seven hours, which was like a week in Hawaii at that point), I did most of the night duty. I do remember the tiredness, no question, but mainly I remember it as an idyllic time. Drag out of bed, pick up the crying baby, carry her downstairs, change her while warming up a bottle of milk, feed her, burp her, walk her around the dark house until she fell asleep again. There was a feeling of closeness and serenity I will never forget.

>Congratulations to you and your family! More years of sleepless nights! :o)

>>And here I thought no one would notice. :) Thanks to everyone for the kind words, prayers and well wishes. Claire and I had a baby girl on Tuesday - Scarlett Elizabeth Boyd. She was a healthy 8 lbs. 1.8 oz. when she entered this world. Tamar and Marcia have already pretty much explained what has happened. My popularity caused my workload to explode and that coupled with all the other stuff (pregnancy complications, etc.) kept me from having anything that even resembled free time. The upside of all of this is a beautiful baby girl and some quality time with my lovely wife and 4 year old son Chris, the downside has been a stagnant blog, missing OzFox, missing the MVP Summit, and being unable to give session proposals or lend support to any of the great Visual FoxPro conferences and user group meetings that are coming up. The programmer in me has deeply regretted this, however the father and husband in me couldn't be happier. Thank you again for all of the emails, the threads here and
>>elsewhere, and most of all for your patience. I'm not done rocking this boat yet, I'll be back in force soon.

>>>I've noticed that Craig's blog (http://www.sweetpotatosoftware.com/SPSBlog/) has not been updated since Nov. 6, 2006.
>>>
>>>He was keeping it up to date fairly consistently, but, then all of a sudden...nothing. I've also noticed that he's not visiting here either and I though that he used to drop in every once in a while.
>>>
>>>Craig...I miss your blog!
>>>
>>>Is it me or did that sound kinda sick?
