BTW, Rudy will not be the nominee even in what appears to be a weak Republican field. He had his shining moment in the aftermath of 9/11 but he remains a problematic candidate, especially to the Republican base. He has never held office higher than Mayor, which I don't think has been a path to the Presidency yet. He is from NYC. He is not conservative on some social issues. He is on his third marriage. This isn't going to sell in the south and west. Current electoral arithmetic is that the Republican candidate practically has to sweep those regions. I happen to like him OK -- he was awesome after 9/11, in fact more presidential than the President we actually had -- but I don't think he's electable in a general election.

>He's auditioning to be Hillary's running mate.

>Now please God give us Rudy and Conde. Boy would that be an election!

>>>If you want to see a politician compressing a complex issue into a sound bite for personal gain, read Obama's speech that day.

>>I couldn't believe Obama compared the VT shootings with jobs going over seas and the Imus statements. Great way to trivialize the victims of VT shooting.

>>The more he talks the more I understand why his handlers try keep him under wrap.
