You haven't, as far as I can remember.
One general suggestion (and not related to any particular message of yours) is to abstain from commenting from controversial topics, e.g., political topics. - Or your points of view on capital punishment, homosexuality, abortion, ...
Of course, I haven't always followed this myself, and have sometimes seen the consequences.
Perhaps it is not always wise to keep quite, but the mere fact of giving your opinion can indeed cause conflicts.
