Another great episode and another great episode title. This one refers to a line that caught my ear when Tony said it: "'Remember when' is the lowest point of the conversation."

SO much to think about. I will watch this one at least once more. Initial impressions ---

Tony was p*ssed off at Paulie when he said that, annoyed at Paulie's motormouth and potential risk to himself. They're on the lam from an old crime -- and almost everything in this episode refers to the past -- and Paulie can't shut up. I really thought Tony was going to off him on that "sport fishing trip before we leave." What a tense scene. Paulie's not the brightest bulb on the tree but has always been one of my favorite characters, and I thought his time was down to a moment. I think Tony was thinking of doing it, maybe had even been planning to do it, and then decided not to. Tony is nothing if not loyal.

The Junior subplot worked for me, too. Things are coming to an end for him, too. This episode was DRENCHED in the past, looking back, trying to sum up. I have not thought this but maybe Tony is going to go in one way or another. In terms of traditional story arcs that is where this is headed. Fortunately, this is not a traditional show so I can enjoy my blissful suspense for a few more weeks.

Wasn't Junior's young friend in the institution a little creepy given what went on in West Virginia this week? Not sure whether he was Korean or not but it was spooky. The episode was shot months ago.

Carm to Tony when Tony is packing to leave town: "This is what life is still like? At our age?"

The old hotel Paulie and Tony go to hide out in, only it's not there any more, replaced by an upscale modern hotel. They want a bottle of scotch and a couple of steaks. The prissy desk guy tells them there is a minibar in the rooms and no food available after 11 other than wraps and salads.

Paulie to Tony: "I remember Johnny Boy the night you were born. The only time I ever saw him cry."

Tony letting the young blonde into his hotel room -- he's getting careless.

I was worried about Paulie tonight. Now I'm worried about Tony. For the uninitiated it probably seems silly to care about gangsters.

The name of the boat was See Vous Play. I thought that was going to be the name of the episode. But "Remember When" was better.
