I believe my biggest problem is scoping...you must thoroughly understand the concepts for proper utilization of classes, that is why I am using a framework like it. A simple flow chart would be helpful, but I'm not experienced enough in 'scoping' to really logically define one.

Tom,

A couple points I must add to this. First, they want to migrate it to our network. They also want everybody to have access to their personal data to maintain accuracy. This brings up the point of a multi-user environment...sharing data. The old version (unfortunately) required exclusive access to certain tables and therefore render the application illsuited for that environment. Second, features...They want more and in order to accomodate the request, redevelopment is in order. Don't get me wrong, I WANT to redo it! There is no better way of learning this stuff than by doing. I am highly impressed with the referential integrity VFP has to offer, all too many times I had to go in and remove duplicate records. One thing I had to create was to programatically add fields to a table. In doing so I have to copy the original table to a temporary one, copy the structure to an array and redimension it with the new fields, then create table with the original name with the added or deleted fields, then append it from the temporary table and recreated my indexes. It worked fine for me but when someone else wanted to play, they were very capable of screwing it up and I ended up having two or three copies of the records in the table. I still haven't figured out how I'm gonna accomplish this task with the referential integrity.

That is one of 24 modules of the program! If you want to see some of the hacker code some time let me know!

Thanks for the help Tom.
