>I've used Napster for a couple of years now and love it for mp3 players. It has a play and go subscription which allows unlimited free downloads to your mp3 (up to 3 players) player on a monthly subscription. However, it doesn't work with IPODs. Is ITunes the only way to download to an IPOD? I heard LymeWire may do it... Any suggestions?

For DRM music, IPOD only works with ITunes and vice-versa. Anything else would be a hack. I guess Apple didn't learn their lesson about lock-in, and now MS is following their lead. On the plus side, Apple is pushing to get rid of DRM altogether, and they've already talked one of the big music companies into it. The non-DRM downloads are a little more expensive but they should work on any player.

Creative had a bad rep with their first players, but it seems things have since improved. My daughter has a Creative Zen Vision M and she loves it. We've only had it about a year, but so far no problems. We use it with Yahoo! Music, which has a subscription like Napster.
