"Not sure why you are editing C in VFP, but you can right click on the title bar of an editing window, select properties, and select Show Line/column numbers.

There is an option in the Tools/Options menu to set that as a default too."

I knew and did all the above. It just came to my mind that I had left Word Wrap on and that collided with line# display. So the editor had just showed me col pos!
