"Why would you use VFP IDE for C development? It's not designed for anything but VFP development. There're planty tools for C development."
Well, I got a small, one time C job (bar code scanner logic) here accompanying my VFP project and the VFP editor is the leanest, most convenient existing tool on my laptop.
I could fire up VS2k3, but that´s overkill and I got only C# and VB installed, not C(++). (Say for syntax,...) Installing yet another tool for C is not worth it.
But I found the solution for line# display: Turn Word Wrap off, which is on by default for text files.
Thanks anyway!
G.
