PMFJI I attended a webinar a while back that had the CIO from Sony online gaming devision that stopped using Oracle in favor of EnterpriseDB (a variant of PostgresSQL). He said that performed as well as Oracle and was way cheaper. I downloaded and installed it and it seemed easy to work with but I have not tested much. FYI

Jury is still out and it will come down to whether or not these few clients will deem it a deal breaker if we use Sql Server. I think when our sales guys see how many clients either don't care or do not want the up front costs of an Oracle installation we'll probably go Sql Server, I hope.
