The add and the save button are the same. The caption of the button is changed whenever the status of the form change (edditing/viewing).

You can add your validation routine in the add/save button click() event, checking the state of the propriety that indicate the status of the form prior to that.

In Foxpro 2.6 for DOS a cleanup where you can add some validation and you can generate the source code is this also possible in VFP? If so how?
