Another question I forgot to mention that might be related to this problem.

I am working on a Provider independent data access program. So, the table that I am updating appears both in Excel and VFP. I have no problems updating the VFP table. It is the Excel version that is getting corrupted during update.

One difference between the Excel and the VFP versions is that the Excel version has the column headings in row 1, whereas VFP does not.

Is there some way to tell the .NET DbDataAdapter or whoever needs to know that the first row contains column headings and not data?
