Thanks Alan

I may check it out. I tend not to like bands per se, but rather, if I hear something I like, no matter by whom (unless it's an American "rack byand"). Thus I don't go out and buy every album by a part. band, for example. Indeed, I may get sick of an artiste and not check him out any more. e.g. Bowie's Diamond Dogs did nowt for me, but I'd bought every album up to "Young Americans".

Anyways, the point is, I'm not so much a Canned Heat fan as I like those 2 tracks. I never know - there may be a whole heap of their stuff I've never heard but would love.

Oh! just remembered:

Frank Zappa - "Sheik Yerbouti", "Joe's Garage" (I & II), and "Tinsel Town Rebellion"

(ones I know)

I once had a real cool tape by Mallard, ex Capt Beefheart. Can't remember the name but excellent tracks on it.
Anyone?

>Speaking of Canned Heat, you might want to look up a terrific album called 'Hooker N Heat' with John Lee and Canned Heat. I have it on vinyl, but I think it's available on CD.

>>let's work together - canned heat
>>she move through the fair - sandy denny/fairport convention
>>
>>Got these on vinyl:
>>a la claire fontaine - Kate & Anna McGarrigle
>>every time we say goodbye - Ella
>>manhattan - Ella
