I am looking for a way to recognize the barcode of a scanned image file.

So I have a BMP file that contains a barcode on a certain (fixed) position, and I need to recognize the barcode number.

Is there a way to do that either with GDI programming, or perhaps a third party software (ActiveX) that I could use?
