I've used a series of report variables which I've flagged tobe summed and attached these in the summary band of the report since I only wanted the totals for each source showing once when the report is run. My problem is when I've tried to calc a percentage for each group as a part of the grand total, the book states that you must declare variables in the order their used to properly work but unfortunately I'm continually getting zero for each percentage..... looks like the calculation is happening too early and the grand total of all sources hasn't been calced when the percentage happens.

This is a classic problem, with a classic solution: you just can´t do it with variables. You need to calculate, *before* you list anything, the grand total, so it will be available for calculating percentages.
